I am a native american with thick hair. I like cutting it short in the summer and longer in the winter, both times with layers. My hair looks bulky and weighed down if I don't get layers. I also like highlights but the last time i got those, they seemed to close and not spread out enough. Now my hair looks too light on the top, and too dark on the bottom. I need to find somoene who knows how to deal with hair like mine. Does anyone know a good salon in Chicago??? Help!!!!

I have googled it, and went to one salon already. The googling didn't really help me at all, hence the reason I'm asking on here. Oh yeah and one more thing: My sister usually cuts my hair but I've moved so this is why I'm trying to find somoene in Chicago.....

You can try Hair Cafe in Glenwood Il their # is 708-758-2233 Ivy is an excellent stylist. She has done my hair for 7 years or more. She can color, cut, and style. Call her 1st. Tell her Tasha sent you.
Honey Child Salon and Spa (Downtown Chicago) you want Bambi the owner to do your hair. She has never done my hair, but I have seen her work.
