Eat only when hungry.
When eating at home, take smaller portions than usual; go back for more if you are still hungry.
When eating out, ask for a to-go box at the beginning of the meal and put half of the food in the box before you start eating.
If you decide to splurge on a donut or pastry, throw half of it away before you start eating.

When snacking, don't eat from a large container (a big bowl of popcorn or a large bag of chips, for example). Instead, remove the amount you will eat and put the container away before you start.
Eat at home. Studies show that meals consumed at home are usually lower in calories than restaurant meals.
Don't eat in front of the television. Studies show that people eat larger amounts and less-nutritious foods in front of the tube.
Eat smaller but more-frequent meals to avoid becoming ravenous between meals, which can lead to eating too much too fast.
Include at least one non-starchy fruit or vegetable serving in every meal or snack.
Choose whole grains over refined grains (whole-grain bread versus white bread, for example) because whole grains are more nutritious and satisfying.
Avoid beverages with empty calories such as soft drinks and "juice drinks," which are mostly sugar.
Avoid "fancy" blended, sweetened coffee drinks and instead choose a latte with nonfat or low-fat milk.
Get plenty of sleep. Studies indicate that sleep loss increases the levels hormones such as cortisol, growth hormone and insulin, which can promote fat storage

What works best for me is to only drink water or low sugar juice, no sodas or high sugar content drinks. This will cut out quite a lot of calories. Then I work out 3 days a week doing aerobics, two days a week I do pilates, and I walk on the weekends, even of it is just around the block. Also no matter what I never eat past 7pm, because i am less active at night. Doing that helped me lose 50lbs in 4 months.

You should maintain a healthy diet and make sure to exercise often. Reduce or eliminate junk foods, stock up on vegetables and fruit instead. Try jogging around your neighborhood a few times a week. find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

well,,this is a real life story: I was really fat,,

One day i was visiting people in a foreign country, i have to take my shoes outside, after the visit, while putting them on, i could not reach them, and i saw a gathering standing in the other end ,laughing at me, So it was the decision,

The first Tip to lose weight:
1)The real strong will to lose weight, (or to be accepted as a healthy person),,

after years i knew it was simpliar than i thought,, and i am not on diet, but my life style is different
2) the second tip is patience, and do not expect mirical that quickly..

In order to have this patience, i had to know all the story, it is simple (how we get fat, how we lose weight) it is easier to drive a car, or operate a machine when we know how it work

3) So, the third step is :
knoweldge..awarness of the food we eat value, what our bodies need. why we eat..

when we eat, our food turns to be energy, in caloric form..part is consumed and the rest is to be stored as glycogen aroud the liver and other orgins for further usage,, and when we have enough the rest is to be deposite as lipid or fat tissue),,according to many reasons (our sex, our hormones our activities) this lipid mostly stored underthe skin on the ABS in men (beside other places) and in the area of the hips (beside other places ) in women (due to the different hormones they have)
Any way, man generally need 2500 cal a day and women need 2000 cal,,to have our body posted, to warm our body ,and for the rest of our daily activities and functions,, More than that we will have this lipid (or we will gain weight)
lets calculate:
Human fat tissue contains about 87% lipids, so that 1 kg of body-fat tissue has roughly the caloric energy of 870 g of pure fat, or 7800 kcal. Therefore one has to create a 7800 kcal deficit between energy intake and use to lose 1 kg of body-fat. (In U.S. customary units, that is about 3500 kcal per pound.) ,, In other words, if you eat 3,500 kilocalories more than your body needs, you will put on about 1 pound of fat. If you use up 3,500 kilocalories more than you eat, you will lose about 1 pound of fat.

there are lots of medicines , which increase the consumptions of calories ( increase metabolisim or reduce the food value in term of energy) ,, http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AiEg1EH.lQQGi2W2ja3.a2fsy6IX?qid=20070430062907AAyzAOX&show=7#profile-info-c54e146c8adffbf915d744901e226611aa

The real problem is : for how long to use these medicines , ?
so the best in my opinion; isto have a help from them but again chnging the life style is the only way to get healthy. eat less , eat healthier, do more activities including walking, sporting, cleaning the house, particibating in life,,, and be sure that losing weight is not to be beautiful but to be healthy...

Do your aerobics (stretching, walking, ect) and lift weights. Doing these will

1. Increase your will power to continue
2. Increase your metabolism which in turn kills hunger panes

Count inches, not pounds. Muscle is heavier then fat, who cares how much you weigh as long as its muscle right?
