Pro: Can access your network and the Internet from anywhere in the house. Great if you have a laptop and don't want to have wires everywhere!
Cons: You have to setup a tight security (WPA key) in order to protect your network from being accessed by anyone.. not thta user-friendly to setup!

regularly, prompt connectivity has many cons. - a lot less possibility-free; the signal you're transmitting and receiving will be picked up with the help of every person. no matter if you encrypt the signal (wep or wpa or something else), there are recommendations to crack the encryption. - %; a prompt connection is often slower than an ethernet connection, even although contained in the context of internet, you'll fairly even note the adaptation - signal high quality; you'll favor to be close to the router to be able to %. up a good signal. walls or stumbling blocks will decrease the signal high quality, yet back interior a house you'll likely %. up the signal everywhere (till the homestead is really enormous, with plenty and a large number of walls). - unnecessary radiation; prompt ability transmitting radiation alerts, which will have risky consequences. The least they could do will be interfering with different housefold homestead equipment, like prompt handsets or recreation controllers. The worst they could do will be reason health subject matters, although there has been no surely evidence that wifi (802.x) ranges might want to reason any harm. Oh and, the experts? nicely, to me there is purely one, being prompt...!

Nice to be able to use "anywhere" (with a couple hundred feet of the router). For a laptop, it works well.
But it is less secure and slower then a "cabled" connection.
