It would seem to me that the illegal immigrants demanding rights and such are belittling the hardships that the immigrants that are now actual US citizens had to endure.

Hey, I know you have to save up the money and went thru the same crap I did, but I didn't, I snuck in so we should have the rights.

I have no problem with people from other countries wanting to live in America. I just think that everyone should have to follow the same rules.

Seems ignorant to demand what others had to work for. Am I the only one that feels this way?

To the woman who wasn't going to ask permission to slap me, hey, sorry, I didn't understand the last part of your response. I speak English.

Oh, and to those who feel illegals should be given rights just because they are here now, if I steal a car, can I just keep it and not go to jail?

My great grandfathers and great grandmothers came to Ellis Island, and guess what, they had to learn English. They also had their last names "Americanized". And guess what else, they worked hard. Sorry, your arguments hold no water with me.

You are definitely not the only one who feels this way. Also, I want the law changed so that children born to illegal immigrants in the US are not American citizens. If the parents are deported, the children should stay with their parents and go too.

Laws for legal immigration should be obeyed, or the law-breakers need to return home.

I have no problem with people who want to come to the US legally. It's the "illegal" immigrants demanding rights, that is the problem here. Imagine going to Mexico illegally. Do we have a right to stand up in Mexico and demand rights? I can only imagine what would happen, if the tables were turned.

Yes... "a slap in the face"

not like the kind manner in which the whites treated the Native Americans when they were illegally on indian land

no, these Mexicans are a bunch of slackers

they didn't even commit genocide on the indigenous people of North America.

They didn't earn it.

Whites "had to work for" their immigration rights...not like the lazy Mexicans

you are "a slap in the face" .......of decency and tolerance and human compassion

Some Americans need to stop thinking the world revolves around them. People from other countries aren't coming here in droves, foaming at the mouth with hatred of American custom thinking how they can ruin your day. They are trying to survive. To have a decent standard of living- to put food on the table. They are trying to fulfill life's basic needs. It isn't about you.

No, you aren't the only one. Our country and legal immigrants (both past and present) are slapped in the face every single time someone sneaks in or overstays a visa.
