I haven't worn my retainer except occasionally over the last 6 months. There has been some relapse, but my teeth still look okay. I don't like wearing the retainer. It is uncomfortable and hard to talk with it in. The Orthodontist wants me to get a new one and wear it all the time. Mom will only pay for it if I commit to wearing it.

My question is, how bad might the relapse be if I don't wear my retainers?

Your the teeth will start to head, basically placed on the retainer. braces are high priced and in case you do not placed on your retainer then your the teeth will gradually flow and you're able to have wasted your mothers and fathers funds for the braces. lots can take place from 7-5, that's a vast time hollow. it could desire to not look like something replaced yet once you do this each and every person the time then that's going to be sizeable that your the teeth are shifting. the reason i be responsive to is by using the fact i did that.

I did the same thing, and wasn't happy with me teeth, so my parents had to pay for a new retainer. It's damn expensive too, so just keep wearing them.

Why risk your teeth going crooked again? Get the new retainer and wear it, your mom paid a lot of money to straighten your teeth, and I don't blame her. Teeth can get crooked if you don't wear a retainer....you'll regret not wearing it when you see your teeth change.

Depends on how old you are. If you don't mind having braces again when you are older, as I did. Your jaw can change and if you don't wear it. Check with your orthodontist if you can wear them at night only. It's better than nothing at all.

your teeth will shift. talk with your orthodontist and let him/her know that it hurts. i'm sure they can have one to fit your mouth.
i went thru the same thing, but in the end it is worth it.
good luck!
