Jumping jacks and running do it the fastest. Personally, I prefer to cut back on calories and go for a walk every day.

there is no way we can choose which body parts to lose the weight off - it has to be overall weight loss.
find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

My fiance has the same problem with love handles. He does an exercise that looks like a half jumping jack. He stands up with his knees slightly bent (to support his back), he places one hand on his hip and the other on the side of his head (cupping his ear). Then with he leg on the same side as the cupped ear he turns it towards the wall and press together. If your doing it right you can feel it squish your mid section. It reminds me of doing "I'm a little tea cup" dance or side crunch. It works well for him. Plus he stays away from fatty foods. Good luck.

Unfortunately, you can't decide where you will lose weight from when you lose weight. You just lose what you last gained. If the love handles are your newest addition to your body, they will go first. To tone the area, do modified crunches every day. Don't do sit ups; they are ineffective and strain your neck.
