This is the exact point i was making with my wife last night -- that alluding to race, racism, race-related scenarios in the media is a lucrative method to boost sales, ratings, and profits. The answer to your question is that groups would complain and the company would have to change its methods. Geico advertisers will not make that mistake. Cave men are within the border of permissible subjects for overt exploitation. The simple similarity to black men is enough for many people to react to it positively or negatively, condone it, tell themselves not to worry about it, but in the end they have digested the advertisers' intended message: Geico insurance. If black men were portrayed, the company will not profit as much as by "mildly" making fun of race issues.

He'd get a bad deal, considering Progressive saves you an average of 200 dollars when Geico costumers switched, hehe.

I think all hell would break loose. I think the networks would never air them. I think Geico's ad agency would be fired. I think Geico would suffer as a result of people double standards.

Lawsuits and Revs. Al and Jesse whipping it into a frenzy and extorting money from Geico.

Like why should anything happen. I mean there's black actors just like there's actors of other races.

So why shouldn't a black person be able to play the part?
