this guy really likes me and keeps asking me out I don't really know if i want to go out with him but i don't want (if I do) to make him think that I just pity him what do i do??

Sounds like you've already made up your mind there. I mean dang, I have enough wisdom to know as a man that if a woman keeps denying my request by ignoring me or avoiding my request's to go out then she is not only saying no but is also not worth MY time. I have been rejected more times than I care to know and as a guy who has been rejected alot I tend to take the hints more than direct answers.

If you really don't know if you like him or not, why not take a chance and go out once. If it's better for you, go out with friends, so that things may not be uncomfortable. Not only do you get to see what kind of person he is, your close friends can assess him as well. One date does not mean a life long commitment. But ultimately, you have to be honest with him as soon as you know. No one likes to be treated like a fool.

just tell him that u really dont think u guys hooking up is a good idea and that u see him more as a friend than ne thing else

Tell him the truth and stop beating around the bush. Tell him you are not interested in dating him.

trust me! if you do not know then don't go. you'll build up his hopes by saying yes and then he'll think he has a chance. if you don't like him like that, just don't make him suffer through thinking he has a hsot!
