There is a faction of religiion that focuses only on the afterlife as if there were nothing else that it provides in this life today. I call them end-timers and I know everyone has seen them here. They cannot "WAIT" for the end.
They do not represent the majority of Christians in the world. Heaven or no heaven, hell or no hell...I am a Christian by choice in THIS life. If something comes after this, its icing on the cake.
We are afraid of ceasing to exist sweety...all of us. Anyone who says they are not is a fool. Point the gun to their head (figuratively please, I am a pacifist) and ask them.

I'm perfectly content in not following any twisted organized religion, though I do follow Buddhist philosophy closely. I wont live forever, but I'm hoping to make a difference in as many people's lives as I can before I'm gone.

I am afraid of some person or persons who have such intense fears of the world that they have adopted as their belief system some fundamentalistic strict religious doctrine that requires them to either convert everyone else to believe it or predict their destruction. I am afraid of someone like this getting so much political power that they are able to carry out their belief on the rest of us. Now that's something to be afraid of.

The only thing I worry about when it comes to death is hoping that the method by which I die is not unduly painful. Other than that, I have no fear of death.

It is all about Jesus Christ. I have no fear in death, because He has set me free from sin and hell- and I have been forgiven through Him, justified through faith in Him alone!
He paid my ransom, and now I am free, and I no longer am in fear of death. It is only through HIM we can be set free from sin and hell, and fear of death!
