Do people who believe in god believe in ghosts? Why or why not?

I believe that Christians do believe in ghosts, but most doesn't realize it. After all, they have the Holy Ghost, (a member of the Trinity). No disrespect intended, but if they have the Holy Ghost, then it is safe to assume that there are many other unholy ghosts.

The Christian Bible also speaks about the existence of "evil spirits". So that proves my point.

I believe in God, but I dont believe in ghost. I dont believe that ghost exist. I think people made that up to scare people and if some people did see ghost it was just there imaginary. I do believe in Angels, but i dont say they are ghost.

My personal take on ghosts is this: Ghosts, like most people think do not exist. If a person dies, their soul does not linger here on Earth. I believe that ghosts are merely spirits, evil or good, that take the form of people (from the memories of the witnesses).

I believe in God, and I believe in ...I dont know what it was, ghost,demon or soul.
One day I was controlling my garden, I walked about say 10meters behind somebody wearing black pants and black tops which I thought he was 1 of my ex gardener who came visiting his friend , but nobody else saw him .
Another time my maid and I heard somebody open the door upstairs, which is hard to open (it is a solid door) , while no body there.
So I believe that there is "something" , whether it is ghost, demon or whatever.
And also when I was about 19, I was smacked on my cheek painfully , while nobody around. Hiiiiii, I am not joking tho.

I think there are many possibilities to explain "ghosts". They most often are physical anomalies resulting from magnetic and electrical forces created by pockets of water or magma. Their resemblance to physical human shapes are often the result of the brain's need to make sense out of the senseless, much like your brain will attempt to make words out of random noise.
There are also those manifestations that are created by demonic spirits to harass people. Usually they are invited in by someone who is unaware of what they are doing.
There have been a very, very few instances where the manifestations seem to be the result of the spirit of a specific person remaining near the physical humans and environs they associated with in life. Those are the ones that are the most unclear since they do appear to be the actual spirit of the person.

Yes, of course ghosts exist. The soul is eternal, sometimes the soul is in the material earth plane. When it's in the earth plane sometimes its in a physical body. Sometimes it's not and under the right conditions we can see through the veil between the physical and the spiritual, sometimes the things we see we call ghosts.

I don't believe in Ghosts - I believe in 'jinn'. Invisible beings, that constitute a world almost parallel to the human, according to Islam. The jinns are living with humans, and are a central part of the Muslim world view. The belief in jinns is orthodox, as they are mentioned several times in the Koran.
Jinns are created out of smokeless flame, while man and angels are from clay and light.

But I personally dont. The bible says the dead are concious of nothing at all (Ecclesiates 9) and that man himself is soul, he does not have a soul (Genesis 2:7) that is separate from the body (contradictory to what philosophy teaches that soul is immortal).

The bible also points out to the Devil and his demons are responsible for the lies and deception. Ghosts that people see are them...
