It is your civic responsibility to serve on jury if you are called. People who avoid it by lies are unpatriotic and unAmerican. If everyone did what you did, the trial-by-jury system would fall apart.
On the other hand, I don't think I would want someone like you on a jury where I would be involved. I would only want true, adult Americans - not deadbeats who shy away from responsibility.
