I use my camera every day taking pictures of my kids playing and items for eBay. I need a camera that is durable yet will take great pictures. If you have a suggestion of a camera under $200 that you think would be better please suggest away.

I think you will like either. THe Canon has the advantage of using AA batteries, an optical viewfinder and a standard SD memory card.

Your not going to loose , because they are so similar. I prefer Canon because of the "feel" in my hand and the combo of "AA" battery power and the commonly found (and cheaply purchased) "SD" storage card. However, I must confess I have shot Canon's for my profession for over 25 years so I probably have a bias.

I would recommend the Canon A550 .

the canon is by far
the better of the two
