I have always had the same problem. The only thing that actually helped me (ironically) was to get moving. Exercise. I found that when I actually exercised for at least 45 minutes a day on the treadmill, I felt better and had more energy. I am not sure why this helped, because it certainly didn't make my allergies go away. I don't know, you could try it and see what happens. Good luck!

it is a pretty standard response to say "go see a doctor". Unfortunately, it really is helpful. I recently developed a severe dust allergy, I suffered daily, used albuterol (inhaled coricosteroid) on an almost daily basis, felt fatigued etc. The wheezing got bad enough to alarm my husband and almost prompted an emergency room visit when my inhaler ran out. I finally broke down and talked to my employer ( a Doctor). What I learned was the following:

a) For my case a long acting low dose inhaler (advair) helps manage the breathing issues (I have not needed to "hit" the albuterol in over a month)
b) Remeditation, Remediation, Remediation!
first of all, vacuuming regularly is only helpful if you wear a mask while doing it. When cleaning/dusting you should definitely wear one.
another part of the remediation process is to get rid of all carpet, *ideally*.
One of the other very key things when it comes to remediation is the need for mattress and pillow covers. You would be amazed at the amount of epithelial cells, and mite feces that reside in your mattress and pillows. Futons are just as bad.

c) every moment of wheezing and respiratory distress contributes to lung fibrosis. This begins as a microscopic change in the lungs that permanently affects their function.

a good B complex supplement will *probably* help with the fatigue, but the other peoples responses are correct, getting moving really does help!

you can probably get better answers if you list all your symptoms instead of just saying "allergies". Great buzzword. Also say when did the symptoms start. Also where are you? are you near a farm, factory, in the city, town, beach? Somebody said he was in the east coast - well that covers a lot of area doesn't it? It would have been better if he said what state he was in if he didn't want to say what city. Without that info, there will be a lot of guessing, like maybe it's not the allergies that's making you fatiqued but something else. Have you tried cutting the MSG out of your food/diet? It works wonders for me. Also suggest you don't drink the tap water. Suggest you get all your drinking water from purified water machines.

Try drinking some green or white tea -- hot or iced. You may find the antioxidant properties help detoxify your body and reduce the fatigue.

Also, make sure you get treated properly for them. Some remedies are worse than the allergy symptoms.

Finally, are you sure you don't have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome? Maybe it's time for a thorough checkup. More doctors are well-versed in CFS but see if you can't find a specialist.

See a doctor for treatment: Your case does sound pretty severe.

Meanwhile try to get the allergens out of your environment. Dust with a damp cloth, or perhaps use a product like Endust. Vacuum a lot. Consider getting rid of your carpet and use area rugs where you need them, and either do the same with your curtains or wash them regularly to get the dust out. Clean or replace the filters in your heating/AC system, and get your duct work cleaned.

Get an air cleaner to filter out allergens. And drink a lot of water, or hot steamy drinks: Those will help you feel less miserable.

Good luck!

Check out www.naet.com. They are good at helping with allergies. I know of one in Santa Monica, CA. I think there are others on this site that have been treated also.

You need to work out. ... or, at least drink a lot of strong coffee and tea.
