I really don't understand why there seems to be so MANY ineligible men to date out there. If they are available (ie, not trying to cheated on their girlfriend/wife).. they seem to be so unappealing or have something really psychologically wrong with them. Or... they just want to use every woman they can. Do the single guys out there have similiar issues with women?? Women -- how do we deal with this? Is it better just to give up and get a cat? ;-)

Guys point of view, it doesn't look any prettier from our side. Girls can be psychotic too, unfaithful, incredibly indecisive and usually sending misleading mixed signals.
Let's face it, these are just the common frustrations of running into people you're just not compatible with. It's a big world, strangely our first tries always happen to be in the wrong place with the wrong people. Should men give up on women and get a dog? Maybe, but it doesn't solve a deeper need. Then again, a dog is pretty dependable...

Get a cat.
And then look for guys in places where you will find normal guys. A gym is a great place.
And what about all those services that match you up with guys?
The two women in my office are both single, both complained about finding only "boys." They joined a gym together and found a lot of interesting men, more when they did the search sites.
The cat will make coming home more important. Your cat will need you, you will love your cat.

i don't believe anyone should give up, there is someone out there for you, you never know you might have already met them, just don't devote all your time to finding a person , someone will find you , but getting a cat is a good idea also and yes men have those problems with women to at least my brothers did one is still available and the other one is married, good luck, in other words my brothers are some pretty good guys and that treat everyone very well , who knows you may run into my brother Brandon , anyway good luck

you're absolutely right, I have just ended a 2 year relationship and the choice of men out there is APPALLING. I already had 2 cats, and frankly they're good enough for me. Yes I will probably end up one of those mad old ladies surrounded by animals but I will be loved and not have my head screwed with so who gives a toss!!!

lol give up and get a cat! i've been seeing a lot more men lately bitching because no women are all about the hookup and they don't want relationships so i think it happens on both sides! you'll meet a good guy because they're out there you just have to put in some effort and find them!

Try East Asian men (Chinese, Japanese, Korean). They are usually educated and appreciate an educated woman. They're less likely to be cheating or have major personality flaws and they're hard workers.
On the other hand, cats are warm and cuddly and purry and are loyal so long as you have a can of tuna.
Just to play it safe, I've got one of each - a Chinese husband and a cat! >^..^<

i went through something similiar. don't give up just realize some things...i don't think that there is any man (just about) out there that are not going to cheat or eventually they will cheat, happy or not. this is my belief. just try to make yourself happy...also if u can't find any good men out there...try one of those dating websites like eharmony. i know plenty of people that have found love and happiness from sites like this..i hope u find what ur looking for! good luck!

The biggest issue is the ones who are available and appealing are scared off because they see that those men who are "jerks" tend to get all the women. Its a complicated matter for sure.

We want a cat. I think u should have a cat.
Get the big fat garfield type. there's more of it to hold on to and snuggle to and all that stuff.
Then I think siamese cats are cool lookin too. They got that, "I'm super perfect and superior to everyone" look about em.
Then totally black cats are cool too. Like really awesome at night when u can see their eyes glowin and nothin else.
Yeah...go for the cat.

Give up on what? Just enjoy your life and have fun. Keep yourself away from the crackpots. Trust me, there are some awesome fun people out there. Go meet some of them.
And, for what its worth, just care about yourself and be a good person.
