Wow.
Perhaps its not enough that she went in and showed love to the untouchables and helped the starving and destitute?
Let me ask you...when was the last time you spent an hour with a homeless man - then offered to clothe him, feed him and take him in. Mother Teresa did this every single day.
Everyone has their faults. But you can't knock a person for doing wonderful things. She did more in one month for the poor than 99.99% of us will do in a lifetime. She dedicated her life to helping those who were helpless.

As you did not supply a link to justify your comment - i have added one above this comment, so others may see what you mean!!!
I question her Nobel Peace Prize in 1979 because she never did anything for peace. In fact, in her acceptance speech she said, “Abortion is the worst evil, and the greatest enemy of peace... Because if a mother can kill her own child, what will prevent us from killing ourselves or one another? Nothing.”
Wherever she goes this is her constant message. In 1992 at an open air mass in Knock, Ireland, she said, “Let us promise our Lady who loves Ireland so much, that we will never allow this country a single abortion. And no contraceptives.” She obviously sees no connection between poverty and too many children.

How could you know what it took to serve the poor, the homeless, the dying, the mentally handicapped? It seems to me that you just took the word of an atheist who would love nothing better than to demonize a well-known Christian.

sadly enough, although catholics deem mother teresa to have been a great example of a catholic, they do not know if she went to heaven, in fact, in catholicsm there are no guarantees, its sort of like gambling...yes, they say, mother teresa's "chances" of going to heaven were good, and her "odds" of going were at least 3 to 1. Sad isnt it? That catholicism relies on chance. I know all catholics hope to go to heaven someday but the way they are hoping is like this...they hope to go as if they may not go and therefore thats the same hope a gambler has of hitting the jackpot,...he doesnt know if he will hit the jackpot but he hopes he will, as if he may not, but hey, theres a chance at least, he's got odds. So play a little rosary, play a little eucharist, and spin the wheel lady...round and round it goes, where it stops nobody knows

Right, Dharmanator beat me to it. She could be Attila the Hun at a cocktail party, she seems to be doing good things. As I will likely never see her at a cocktail party I will have to simply accept her good deeds with some amount of civility.

Really? That wouldn't surprise me, since 'nice' people never get things done. However I would say she was still a good person.

The Bible does not command Christians to be "nice".
Compassionate.
Merciful.
Forgiving.
Loving.
The word "nice" never comes up !
In Jesus Name !
