Tainui - Waikato tribes /central north island
Te Arawa - Te Arawa tribes / Rotorua
Mataatua - Eastern Bay of plenty tribes (Cook Islands geneologies have "Te Mata Atua - face of the god").
Tokomaru - Taranaki tribes / west coast, north island
Takitimu - East Coast tribes / north island (Cook Islands refer to Takitumu and have it as a district)
Kurahaupo - northern and some western tribes
Aotea - Taranaki / West Coast.

Sorry, in my answer I presumed you knew the origin of the seven 'Waka' (Maori canoes) and just wanted to know their names. It relates to a popular theory that Maori migrated to New Zealand aboard seven boats containing the first Maori settlers. When they got here they split up into the various tribes (iwi) that now exist in New Zealand. It is very important to Maoris to be able to trace their ancestry back to the 'Waka' on which they arrived here.
