Being a psudo-Canadian, I'd have to say that, as with any group, you can't make sweeping generalizations.
There are nice folk and there are a few stinkers, eh?

I've worked with a Canadian girl that married an American and they live in the US and I have to say I had a very positive experience, she was always nice, helpful- never cussed or was mean to anyone even if they were not so nice to her. I wish all people here were like her.

I think the following proportion holds true - Canadians are to the US people as the Swiss have been to Italians, as reminded in Orson Welles's famous remark about the cuckoo clock. Yes, Canadians are polite, quiet, clean, everything is in order and works properly over there. But how many original ideas, initiatives, etc. from them?...

Being a canuck, I'd have to say that we are a friendly folk, willing to help and lend a hand. The people in the eastern province of Newfoundland is especially friendly...even some would invite you to their home if you stop and ask for directions. I'm not saying they are too friendly where it would make you wonder, just that they like to make people from away to feel at home here. We are also diplomatic too, help resolve problems anywhere.

They don't have the urge to "spread democracy" all over the world. No one hates Canadians because they haven't done anything to **** people off.
