No.. the hamster wears WW I 'doughboy' duds.

Do a google on World War II.. and then pick any article on the war that includes photos.

Other immediate sources: Clint Eastwoods movie about the raising of the flag on Iwo Jima (Flags of Our Fathers). Simply do a search on that and watch the preview.

Remember also that there were different uniforms for different forces.

They looked like what the Yahoo! hamsters wear, I think.
