I have dislocated my knees several times and understand knee pain. I have not had this injection. I wish I could give you a personal story. But from my knowledge of this it's considered a therapy treatment and not a drug. Supartz is injected directly into the knee joint to restore the cushioning and lubricating properties of normal joint fluid. I can only see benefits from this. Ask your doctor about any negative side effects. I've enclosed a link so web site that might help you with more information.

Supartz injections medication is used to treat knee pain in patients with joint inflammation (osteoarthritis). It is usually used in patients who have not responded to other treatments such as acetaminophen, exercise, or physical therapy. Hyaluronate (also known as hyaluronan) is similar to a substance that occurs naturally in the joints. It may work by acting as a lubricant and shock absorber in the joint, helping the knee to move smoothly, thereby lessening pain.
