I actually saw on Good Morning America that the earlier you start the better.
They had few moms on the show with babies under one, and most of them said they started at only a few months old. Even though I find that a little strange to be putting a newborn baby on the toliet. But there was an "expert" on the show who said that the earlier they get comfortable on the toliet the easier toliet training will be. So go for it!

WAY too early! Somewhere between 2 and 3 is the right age. Depends on if you have another baby. I have 3 kids, about 2 and a holf years apart. Toddlers regress to diapers
when a new baby is around, so no point in going through potty training while preggers. Around 2, I started talking
about using the potty when you are a big boy. After the new baby, I bought underwear for older child, for when he was a big boy, and used the potty. Then I'd say to let me know
when he was ready. Worked every time.

10 months old, and you are putting him on the potty already?
Who ever told you that you needed to start at 10 months is a complete moron. He's not ready for that! He's probably just started walking, if he's started at all yet, and you're trying to potty train him? C'mon. Potty training starts with the child being interested in what you are doing on the potty, and that doesn't usually start until atleast 1 1/2 years old. You let them see you sit on the potty, you tell them what you did, you get up, let them look in the pot, let them flush it, he'll start to want to do it too. When he starts showing a REAL disgust at having on a wet or dirty diaper, wet after only one wetting, and/or goes and hides behind something when he goes, you know he's really ready for full on training. Don't expect potty training to be completed in just a few months. It can take 2 years to complete, and boys take longer. They have to be trained twice, once to sit, and then to stand.
10 months, WOW!

You're probably starting too early if you are expecting any kind of actual results any time soon. I've known a toddler or two who seems to be potty trained before the age of 2, but don't be surprised if they need a lot of reminding & refresher lessons.

In some cultures, infants are trained from birth! This method, obviously, takes a very devoted, full-time parent. More info on that here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elimination_communication

If your son is interested in sitting on the potty now & seems excited when he uses it, I don't see any reason to stop him. Just don't get too worried or frustrated when/if he doesn't seem to be learning how to use it on his own & regularly, yet.

Just follow his cues & nurture his curiosity & independence. You know him best!

Right time is different for every baby but it's generally around 18months when they are physically capable of being potty trained like can squat, better bladder control, can follow instructions, can express himself, can be in a squatting position for some time.... 10month old is early and most probably coincidence but if he's having fun with the experience then go for it or else it will really delay the process.

Definitely after 2 years old. The child will show interest and will be able to understand. Don't push potty training, as long as a child is willing to go on their own, they will be ready before school.
And don't use disposable training diapers. Use cotton underwear so they will be uncomfortable wetting and learn to go on the potty.

the amount of teeth wont affect his bladder lol.he needs to be able to understand he has a full bladder and also when he wants or has done a wee.usually once the nappy comes off they wont let you put it back on without a fight cos they realise they aren't too nice to wear.does he say he has wee weed either in his potty or nappy?if so he is ready.there isn't an age every kid is different.i have 3 girls and2 were really quick to learn the other was hopeless.the one that was hop less is now the cleverest of the 3!so intelligence doesn't come into it either.i think aged 2 would be soon enough.10 months is too soon.

I waited untill my daughter could at least communicate to me that she had to go potty. Untill they can do that their is really no point in trying to potty train. My daughter is 2 and a half and we just got her potty trained a few weeks ago. I tried to push it on her months ago and it was just frusterating for everyone, so I decided to wait till SHE let me know she was ready. When they start to hide in corners or behind furniture to "do their business" then you are getting close to needing to potty train. For now, enjoy your baby boy and dont stress potty training for another year or so.

That's WAY TOO EARLY not to mention that some experts say it can actually delay the process of becoming potty trained. Check out baby websites for more information but all will tell you that the best time is when your child feels ready. Pushing a child will break a child down instead of making him/her advance in life. A child will let you know by grabbing at himself/herself whenever the urge to pee comes or by squatting whenever he/she needs to poop.
