According to evolution, all living things evolved from organic material and I assume, some source of energy. With all the complex processes involved in just living/existing, much less everything involved in any decision, couldn't the energy involved become part of the whole organism and everything involved? Especially humans since the mind is very complex?

One day on my computer, quite a long time after I had installed any software or done anything, everytime I started up I got a .dll error. A few weeks later, I hadn't done anything, and it's stopped.

An example of how something sufficiently complex can have unseen outcomes. Given that a human body is the most complex thing in existence, it is quite possible that there is some kind of 'ghost in the machine', which I call a conscience. If you associate having a conscience with having a soul, then yes. Possible.

I would say yes that souls have evolved from souls of animals to souls of humans and who knows where it is going next. I think that when life ends knowledge is passed on to the soul which gets "smarter" or "higher". I also think the soul is already part of the whole organism but the complex mind doesn't want to accept it.

Very interesting question. Have not thought about that until now.

In Bhagavad-gitä it is said that the Lord impregnates the material energy with the souls, and thus the different forms of bodies and different activities immediately ensue. Because of the different desires and karmic activities of the soul, different types of bodies in different species are produced. In Darwin's theory there is no acceptance of the living entity as spirit soul, and therefore his explanation of evolution is incomplete.
The soul is passing through 8,400,000 spieces of life. By the gradual process of evolution.
In the process of evolution from the lower to the higher grade of living, the human form of life is a great boon, because he gets the chance to be freed from the material clutches.

depends on what a soul is.

the biochemical portion of the human brain, and the brain itself, has clearly evolved. If one starts with this as the residence or at least starting point of a sould, then your logic has merit. Even if one assume a soul has an existence beyond the body, one could argue that an evolved brain serving as a de facto "nest" would produce a more evolves soul as well, but thereis of course no way to document this scientifically.

Good thinking. Keep that curiousity going!

I guess, I do think the soul evolves. Something seems to benefit from this earthly experience. I know to waste a lifetime shuts down many different levels of thought, abilities, and physical movement. It I paired this with reincarnation. This would definitely par up.

Someone told me once, that we have it all. The ability to allow our spirit to manifest in a physical body. That all the worlds have their eyes on us.

Imagine, feeding your spirit through life experience. Wouldn't that develop the soul, as it does the person?

I think that in our physicalness, and forgetfulness that we way under-live our true capabilities. Starving our soul experience. Especially, when we let ourselves become enslaved to meme's (ideals set by another).

Your soul is a very complex mix of your brain and nerve connections, electrical pulses and chemicals. To become from a single cell to to what it is today, is called evolution, so yes, I you could say souls have evolved.

No. Evolution relates to physical organisms, not imaginary ones.

I'd say, it's possible. There is no evidence for it, and it kind of takes away from the supernatural essense of a soul, but it's not impossible.

I think that scenario is far more possible than some sky superbeing. The human mind, the human potential, is far from understood.

Honey, your [eternal] soul does not evolve. It is the vine of the square "root" of an everlasting covenant of the HolySpirit and everything alive and living.
