Apply hot towels or a heating pad to your neck for twenty minutes. Afterwards massage in an analgesic cream. This should start loosening the muscles. Also take an anti inflammatory medication such as Advil three times daily. You should not play any sports until this subsides.
If you don't feel better by tomorrow contact your doctor Or a chiropractor .I've enclosed a link were you can find a chiropractor in your area.

If this is something recent, be careful of applying too much heat. If there is any inflammation in the area, heat may feel good, but may actually cause more inflammation and delay recovery.
Within the first few days of an injury, ice is more appropriate than heat. You can do an ice massage by freezing water in a small paper cup and tearing off small portions of the top. Have someone rub the area with the ice for a few minutes at a time. A bag of frozen vegetables wrapped in a towel can be applied to the neck for about 10 minutes.
Make sure you are not sleeping near an open window or under a fan that would produce a cool draft on your neck as this can cause a stiff neck. If so, heat and massage can help.
There are some neck exercises that might give you some immediate results... worth a try. Below is a link to a good example of how to do them.

It is important to find out why your neck is like this to avoid problems in the future. Watch your posture when sitting and sleeping. A reasonable Chiropractor would be appropriate. Ask people you know and trust about one in your area.

Take as hot a shower as you can. Sometimes this will help you relax a little until you can get some professional help. Then call a chiropractor for an adjustment. Make sure you go to one who is well recommended. There are some good ones out there and some not so good ones. Now get going and good luck!
