I thought *Satan* was the god of earth..... ?

And Why do most Bibles say God created heaven and earth, before he created heaven and earth? Is that where the error propagates from? Shouldn't Creationism be an alternative to physical theory of the universe rather than and alternative to biological theory of evolution?

No wonder the atheists in here are frustrated.... this creationism tack really is wholly indefensible IMO... And intelligent design by some midway divine intervention... come on.. is that the best these thousands of minds can come up with? It doesn't even try to postulate God, nothing but ludicrous apologetics if you ask me, which you didn't, but I'll say so anyhow.......

excuse me for ranting... The first few lines are my actual questions, I would like to know if there are any creationists with a tangible theory out there.. or if it really is this hokey?

Missing and Joatman : Beg pardon, I referred to them as theories only because there are many 'types' of creationism.. though they are not stated in hypothetical form, they look like hypothetical literary interpretatives to me... And not a one comes close to soundly contradicting, or even challenging for that matter, the scientific hypothesis.

That is to say, joatman, that you can test them-
in the literary sense for a start, none stand up to that scrutiny... so I hardly think it's worth going on... however, further to that an omnipotent God would know exactly what the scientists are on about and shed light on their questions rather than feebly trying to overturn their answers.

I expected more... I guess.

Manny: what is simpler? Please elaborate what you are referring to exactly as simpler.

Not of this world: The bible talks of moons and stars yes, but most creationist interpretations don't, and I am wondering why.

How can creationists have theories? Anything beyond what is in the Bible (or other revealed texts) would just be speculation. I do not think there is any way to test a creationist theory as science tests their theories.

For example, I believe that millions of new universes are being created every day. They are simply too far away for us to observe. A nice theory, but no way to test.

What I think is funny is that the ID crowd say they're not creationists when their book, "People & Pandas" was word for word identical to it's original, pre 1987 version, exception "creation" was replaced by "Intelligent design" and "God" by "designer".

Creationism isn't a theory; it's a doctrine. Theories rely on predictive power based in evidence. Creationism satisfies neither.
