I just got new eyeglasses and was wondering why i have severe neck pain and headache. I was told it was due to the fact that they are hitting pressure points behind my ear. I've had them adjusted twice but am still getting severe neck pain.

Neck pain could be from the new lenses, too. Do you have bifocals or progressive lenses? Since you hold your head at different angles for reading, driving and computer use you could be (unconsciously) holding your head at different angles to get objects to look clearer. That would explain the neck pain.

If it turns out to be the frames, I would get NEW frames now. Your eye doctor should allow you to switch them out within the first few weeks. I had to swap out frames once, and they did it without any trouble at all. Their receptionist was less than pleasant so I mentioned that I had used my credit card and could stop payment if I wasn't happy with my glasses. Visa, MaterCard and AmEx want you to be happy and you always have that option. Your credit card company will go to bat for you if the doctors office isn't cooperative. If they get ugly, you can always get a refund and have new glasses made elsewhere.

Best of luck to you. I hope you get it solved, and in the meantime take something for the pain, please. I'm a fan of Tylenol. Take care, hon.

I have reading spectacles and asked for the half frame reading spectacles. My Optician and Doc both said NO to half frame, as I would need to throw the head back to see work displayed on a blackboard or whiteboard. You do not state what type of spectacles you have so I just wonder if you are throwing your head back to read?
