I went out Friday night for a birthday party at a NYC club for a co-worker. All the guys from my job went ... 3 of them are married and I couldn't believe my eyes!! They were ALL over females at the club while their wives sat home with their kids. Why??? Why do men cheat??? I mean it wasn't like they just talked to these girls or even danced .... they were kissing, dancing dirty, touching eachother place where they shouldn't have. Honestly, it made me sick ... why get married and cheat?? Stay single and do whatever, whoever you want!! Why?? Can anyone tell me ......

Because some of them are unsatable jerks. They treat ladies as if they were on a buffet, they want to try them all.
And there are just as many women who do the same thing.

It's the way they've been socialized. From a certain age, men are taught/observe/believe that it's ok to have more than one woman, because doing so shows that you're 'macho', whereas if a woman chooses to have multiple men, she's seen as a s.l.u.t, whore and all the derogatives you could possibly think of. Of course, this reasoning does not justify why they cheat but in a sense, it explains it because on the flip side, there are men who have vowed never to cheat and have lived up to that promise inspite of all the temptations they come across. So I guess it's a matter of personal choice. I'm sure that when u went to the club, u didn't intend to be dancing all over men and acting like you're in heat, so you didn't. You went to relax and have a good time-that was you choice. Those men however had different ulterior motives which you saw being portrayed by their actions. So men cheat because they want to, they enjoy it and , they don't think about the consequences of their actions because they (unlike women) just don't care . It's a pity that their wives are the victims of this ludeness cause there's no telling what diseases those other women may have given them so it's quite unfortunate for their wives.

It can be many things,it can be an ego boost or it can be just getting bored with their relationship,or even just an alcohol induced fling I personally hate cheating and I don't condone it for ANY reason If someone is going to cheat they should give the partner a heads up if they want to forgive or leave because they would not feel very good if they loved someone only to find out they were being cheated on but what goes around comes around. Cheating needs to be brought out in the open because if the partner/spouse wishes to leave it is most certainly their option and they have a good reason to do so. but to stick to the original question why men cheat varies on cirucumstance but the ego is almost always involved and they don't stop to think how wrong it is but tables can and often are turned and when they hurt about being cheated on I have two words for that....YOUR TURN

I don't know why guys get married and cheat. If you know you are gonna cheat then don't get involved in a relationship and break someone's heart! Anyway, some guys say the have "needs". The need "variety". Honestly, I'm not buying it. Anyway, us women have "needs" too. How would those cheating guys feel if their woman gave them that little phrase after she cheats on him? I mean, women cheat too so it's not just men. And not all men cheat (I hope or I'm F-ed). Those guys who cheat do need to stay single like you said.

Men cheat because they don't want to be tied down or they think they are player in the game of freedom. Otherwise, they think they can get married and have a another girl on the side. Which doesn't make sense on having a girl to marry. They want you to think that they are loyal and trustworthy, but they are nothing but, dogs in heat. So why do they cheat, the answer is easy because they want to.

We cheat because girls will allow it. Why do women do it? If a guy or girl cheats, it's about them, not about you or the other person. You can't control what people want to do with their lives. Maybe the men don't really want to be married. Have you ever thought of that? They just wanna have sex and be free to do who/whatever they want. Women need to read the clue book a little closer.

Some guys just have egos that they think they can have whoever they want. Or it could be trouble at home with the wife and kids and the guy(s) wanted to find a way to channel frustration and they took it too far. Not all guys cheat.

I would say its because their pigs but that wouldn't be fair. I think it's the whole responsibility of being married w/ a family that makes them do it. It's their way of blowing off steam of the whole house thing. Do it think cheating is acceptable? HELL NO. If my hubby cheated on me I'd be out the door, that's why I do things that let him know his limits w/ me as far as other women go. There's a very fine line and if you cross it that's your azz. Plus, maybe the wives aren't giving the attention or sex they way they used to, maybe the marriages are in trouble, maybe there are agreements, we don't know. It would be interesting to find out though. If you do, let me know

Well, with those guys, it sounds like a cultural thing, all their friends do it, they think its being 'manly'.
But I think guys like that are a minority of cheaters.
Most men and women who cheat do so because they feel that something is missing in their current relationship. Are they right? Have they tried to fix it? Who knows.
If they were dating, I'd say they should break up. If they are married with kids, its more complicated. If a man gets divorced because he feels his marriage is lacking, he likely won't have his kids any more.

Its wrong, yes, and they CAN help themselves if they try, so the following is NOT an excuse for their behavior!!!!:

1) Its in their genes. With or without a belief in evolution, most people admit that we, as humans, have lots in common with animals. Males in most species move from partner to partner, spreading their genes to make sure at least some of their potential offspring make it to create another generation.
2) They like to feel wanted. Most people feel like this, not just men. To keep your partner from cheating, make sure they feel secure and wanted, or they will go somewhere else for that feeling.
Its the sad but simple truth... Sorry.
