I can see where you might think that insurance implies a lack of faith. Believe me, I used to think that way, too.
But consider what insurance really is. You are pre-paying for a future event that you hope won't happen but possibly will.
Most people don't save up money for those events, so they buy insurance instead.
And I'm glad, because I sell legal insurance and make a good living off of it.
But prudence is not a lack of faith. In fact the Bible, specifically in Proverbs, continually admonishes to have wisdom and prudence.
Hope that helps.

Because someone is a Christian and has car insurance doesn't mean they are not faithful believers. For one, some insurances are the law, such as car and home insurance. Could you not look at it as something God provides in case there is an accident, so that the damage is covered? I agree that I don't put much emphasis on a retirement plan because I don't worry about it.If the money is there, great, if not, great. I save when I can and know that God has always taken care of me and He always will. It is not earthly riches I seek.

Insurance is to take care of your loved ones when you have passed..it has nothing to do with your religon. As a Christian, I can assure you that I have insurance to make sure my family is well off if something was to happen to me..and I have all the faith in GOD...

The insurance company is happy to take your money, invest it, and give a return to a beneficiary upon the insured's demise.
You can do the same yourself.
Do both.
It does not reflect a lack of faith. There's a parable of the talents in Matthew 25:14.

God instructs us to take care of our families to the best of our abilities. Buying insurance is just another way to provide for our families if we are no longer able to. God wants us to use our money wisely. To some people insurance is a wise investments; to others it is not. It is a personal choice.

I PERSONALLY believe that Insurance HELPS GOD HELP you. It's like Life Insurance. Life Ins. creates an estate for you when you die. Why wouldn't you want your children to have faith AND an estate? Who would YOU want to raise YOUR children? Why do you want to have to PRAY for ANYTHING you can spend about 10% of your income to PREPARE for IN CASE something happened?

I have insurance because I live in this world and things happen and the DMV would not let me drive without it. :) Most importantly though my soul is insured through the blood of Christ. :)

Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? ~Christ~
