Well... you could put some fake dog doo in his shoe?

The assumption is that he has a sense of humor? =)

Telling your significant other they have a foot odor (or any kind of odor can be hard). My advice is to just say it as nicely as possible. My boyfriend can sweat so bad sometimes, and will come to bed all stinky. He'll get into bed, and I'll tell him he may want to consider a shower. So he gets up and showers, easy enough. You could try taking some foot powder stuff, and putting it in his shoe, when he asking what you were doing, you could say you wanted his shoes to smell fresh and clean, that could also give him the hint. The other 100% best way to convery information, is take him around your grandmother, and have him take off his sneakers (grandmother's are so honest, they will just come out with it, and a list of remedies), or the other thing you can do is take him around a younger child, younger children (they have to be able to talk and around the age of 3-7), will just say it "ew, your shoes stink." I know it may seem harsh or stinky, but if you have a sensitive guy and the smell is real bad, desperate measures may need to be taken. Good luck.

Just tell it to him straight. You know, something along the lines of "Honey, I hate to tell you this, but your shoes really stink."

You can offer him a couple solutions for the problem. You could try Febreeze, like some of the others suggested. I know of an easier way. Stuff the shoes with newspaper and leave them overnight. The paper will soak up any moisture from sweat and the carbon in the newsprint will neutralize the odors. I swear this works! I stuff my gym shoes with newspaper and put them in my gym bag with my clothes. Next time I open my bag, there is absolutely no odor of feet, just the smell of the clothes or nothing at all.

I have a few suggestions:
- Insist he wears his other shoes (the non-stinky) when he comes to visit. Say they look better.

- Does he wash his feet and wear clean socks? Maybe you could get him some new socks, or maybe some foot scrub (he'll feel obliged to use and clean his feet if you bought it for him :).)

- If it still smells, come out and tell him his feet stink.. BUT compliment him instantly after you tell him so he won't feel so bad.

Well, it is pretty easy to tell him that. The next time he takes those shoes off, ask him if he has been working hard or something like that and if he asks "Why?" tell him that his shoes smell. It will be an easier way for him to take the fact that his shows smell

Spray them with Lysol or Febreeze. Then set them outside the front door to air outside.
Or you could just tell him, because I don't think guys really get embarassed about that stuff...

Politley offer to wash them. He will either ask if they stink, or he will think about the need to freshen them up.
