My boyfriend brought me this sweater for my birthday. As much as i appreciate this gift its a NIGHTMARE!!!!! The colours are all wrong for me ( Yellow and Green ! ) and the neckline is wayyyy to high! I cannot not wear this sweater, but my boyfriend has tickets to a outdoor concert and he wants me to wear that sweater so i dont catch a cold. What do i do ?

You should of asked him if he would mind if you exchanged it for another sweater because of the neck being so high. If you haven't worn it yet then I suggest you go ahead and tell him you really appreciate it but it just doesn't fit right.

Tell him how much that you loved that he went to the extent of trying to pick out a beautiful birthday present, but that you would like to go with him and exchange it for something in a different color palette that is more suited for you. There is nothing wrong with taking him and showing him what you like, then he can be a part of it. It was very sweet that he went to a store and picked out a sweater for you, don't take that for granted--my husband wouldn't know the first thing about clothes for me--and he is the most awesome man in the world to me!!! Put on a fashion show for him and get something that is pleasing to him as well, after all, he probably bought the sweater because he wanted to see you in it. Be honest with him and communicate with him, that is the best thing you can do!!!

You could tell him it doesn't fit correctly & you'd like to possibly exchange it for a different sweater that fits your body better.

Try to explain to him that you don't like the sweater before its too late... be open to your boyfriend otherwise he will be ruling you or misunderstanding you.
