You need to visit your local officer assessions office for the Army, USAF, or Navy. Don't go to the normal recruiter. You can call them to get the contact info for the officer assessions folks, but don't let the regular recruiter handle your request. They are enlisted recruiting only, and are not equipped to handle your case.
For the Air Force, you would go to COT (Commissioned Officer Training). In this program you are commissioned as an AF officer before training begins and then receive training in military etiquette, officer responsibilities, and other military life issues. Upon graduation (I want to say it's only a 6 or 8-week course), you would PCS (permanent change of station) to your first assignment. Usually, depending on your experience, doctors come in to the AF as captains, sometimes 1st lieutenants.
When you talk to the assessions folks, ask about a sign-on bonus and tuition reimbursement, there are several programs in the mix to encourage medical personnel to join. I will caution you though, as a doctor in the AF you will get deployed. While I am not in the medical corps, I know several doctors, nurses, and PAs at my base, and they are always getting deployed. Good luck, and I hope you enjoy your military career.

Lady T, this is your best bet. The services recruit medical professionals every day and the process is ongoing. First, you have to be near or getting ready to graduate. Go to a recruiters office and ask to get a number to a medical services recruiter, when I was a regular Army recruiter, I used to keep the cards in my desk drawer. Depending on your speciality, there are bonuses involved, etc........but, to get the full scope of what you can get you would have to go ask a med services recruiter. Good Luck

Yes, in fact, if you are not aware of it, there is still a draft in the military, but is restricted to doctors. Most of the doctors in the military have a draft system in place, as a result of getting some of their tuition paid for. It is in the fine print... But to answer your question, All the branches of the service would be happy if you decided to join their respective branch of service.

Be a doctor for the army. Not all of our heroes carry rifles or ride in tanks. Saving the lives of those who have been hurt serving our country is also heroic.
