im in a award pradicament and kinda carnbt tell someone the truth it will rip them apart to find out do i keep it to my self or tell them?

Put yourself in the others' shoes. Would it be okay to lie to you in these same circumstances? Remember, that when you start lying for any reason, it becomes a vicious circle that causes more pain than if you had been honest in the first place.

...lies just lead to the creation of more unsatisfactory lies...that's why I don't do it reasonably! I'd rather be deadpan honest then unfortunate. Lying gets you in more trouble then telling the truth anyways...so just tell the truth to everyone! It shouldn't really be put to anyone any other way reasonably!

First of all, keeping silent about something is not lying.
And if telling the truth about something will serve only to hurt someone, then it is o.k. to lie.

Every situation is different.
Try looking at it through their eyes and if you were in their place. Would you want to be told? Whatever it is, is it something that will get worse or endanger them or affect future decisions if they don't have the information you have?

To keep it to yourself isn't lying....sometimes however, we do need to tell little white lies in order to spare other people's feelings.
Why drop a bomb shell on someone, knowing full well that it will have a devasting effect on their lives?
Keep it to yourself.
