This is how it started. Two weeks a go a guy named John (who was my bestfriends 'Guy friend' at the time) took us and a couple of his friends out to the movies to see Aqua Teen Hunger Force. That night, he found out that my bestfriend had a crush on him, and before he left he kissed her on the cheek. But then two day's after that he says he did it because he knew she liked him a lot. And THEN a couple of days later. (Last Friday.) He ask's her out, and thier dating now. I can't help but feel that this whole thing happened in an odd way...like maybe he isn't genuine...or just dating her to be nice y'know? Opinions please?

Well, people need to make mistakes sometimes in order to learn from them. I believe everything happens for a reason. Maybe he is a liar or really is not the guy he should be. But here is the thing, if you are her friend then just be that. I know you care about her but more then anything you should just be there for her. Dont allow yourself to get in the middle of what they have. But I would share your thoughts with your friend. Let her know you think something is wrong and to be careful. In the mean time keep your eyes wide open because she may be blinded at the moment..

It is also possible that this guy is taking advantage to your best friend since he found out that your best friend had crushed on him. The best way i think is to tell your best friend not to take things too seriously, don't rush. Just observe if this guy has a good intention to your best friend.

May be your thinking is correct. But this is common in today's culture. This depends upon ur best friend's decision. But according to my view don't see a guy in a wrong view... :-)

Mostly likely you are really young because you used the term "We ask's her out" Dating and relationships are really awkward at a young age, so there was nothing weird about he went about his business.

he liked you too, and didn't want to seem completely interested in your best friend encase their was a chance with you. guys are good, they keep their options open through being evasive.

You snooze you lose, he would've probably dated either of you.

Sounds like you are interested in him now that he is dating your friend.
