Use a software called Xillisoft. It's a shareware but the trial version can convert any files that is less than 5 minutes.

I don't think you can do anything with .iso file on CD.Where do you want to use this CD.Ususlly convert from .avi to .mpeg for making VCD or DVD. You can try finding in the web for free .avi to .mpeg converter.

if you are not converting to vcd or dvd mpeg-2
you can just open up nero
and burn them as a data cd
and select image from the drop down menu
that will save your iso to the hard drive and you
can burn or load it later

use a converter progerm like VSOconvertXtoDVD, you need a DVD burner though.
