Where child support or money is concerned or where a disagreement has occured, even with grandparents. Is it not better to let that child see people who love them? Or is it better that the child never know those who love it?

It is more than understandable but I am speaking only of money or disagreement between parents or grandparents. Is it right for the one in control to deprive the children?

Abuse is understandable but I am speaking only of money or where the son-in-law does not like the grandparents.

That behavior is unsupportable when it is simply a matter of money or dislike. This really is a form of child abuse because the person is using the children as a battering ram to hurt others.

I understand this situation too well. The other parent is bitter. They like to make things as hard as possible and as miserable as possible for the other parent and family involved, but what they fail to realize is that children grow up and become adults and they don't forget things like that. I had a situation similar to this one and I am only thankful that it is now in the past. God really does take care of His children.

Every child should have their decision... if they want to see both parents than let them... grandparents too...! If the choose not to see them, but later miss them, than they should be given the chance to visit! If the child is too young to decide, but both parents are wanting to be there for the child than.. yes... allow that. Only time it shouldn't be allowed is if the child is in danger.

People do it to hurt the other parent. They a selfish and spiteful, they do not see that them getting back at the other person is in fact hurting the child they are using to hurt with.
People need to get over themselves and not hurt a little one.

Some parents thus use their own children against the other parents. But sometimes (not often) they believe the other parents can somehow harm their children.

There can be a lot of water under the bridge. Things take time.
Also, there are often good reasons. If you're ex was a violent, abusive drunk would you let your kid see him?

In the case you mention, no it isn't. They should bury the hatchet.

unless the parent is abusive they shoud see the children (may need a court to settle the issue).

I don't know why people do this, it's not fair on the children, it's punishing them and it's completely selfish.
