I have very paiful tension in my shoulder baldes and neck which leads me to have daily headaches. I sit at a desk for most of the day and im guessing its to do with posture.
Can anyone recommend a good massage to help prevent headaches and muscle tension.??

Nothing beats a professional massage, but here is a self-help acupressure tip. It is quite effective:

Firmly grasp the meaty part of the back of the neck. Use the palm of your hand and the flat surfaces of your fingers (i.e., not the tips). Hold that grip for about a minute. Then use the same grip on the muscles the run down from both sides of the neck to the top of the shoulders (called the trapezius).

The best massage is going to be performed by a qualified massage therapist. Ask your medical doctor about getting physical therapy because of the pain you're getting from work. That way it would be covered by insurance. Nothing works as good as massage for the tension in the neck and shoulders.

one easy way to relieve your neck pain is thru chair massage. One very common chair massage technique is the use of friction, which can be applied in a variety of styles. You can place both your hands on the affected area, palms down, and move back and forth in a sliding movement over the region. This quickly warms up the muscles underneath. Use this movement along either side of the spine, on the broad area of the back, along the shoulders, or up the arms.

Another chair massage technique that you can use is stretching. One stretching method is the active assisted stretch where you help your partner to stretch the tired areas. For instance, you can gently pull the receiver’s arm as she stretches to open up the shoulder a little more. Another method is an active resisted stretch, where your partner resists the stretch as you gently pull.

swedish massage is like deep tissue massage & is excellent. This is not a prevention! you have to correct your posture & not slouch etc & for prevention, try this exercise:
tense & lift up your shoulders purposely as much as you can & then drop them. do this a few times; then your muscles learn to realx auotomatically when you tense them up.
