Ok, we know the wheatstone bribge is used for measuring resistance, but if we didnt have it, would it still have been possible to explode Plutonium/Atom/Hydrogen bombs....

It's just one of many possible solutions. In many cases, it happens to be the best. Alternate techniques could produce the same tolerance, but not as easily.
