I don't think "hate" is the right word. Essentially it's because despite the fact that he is an Israeli citizen and a member of the Israeli parliament he committed acts bordering on treason. Included in that are visiting countries hostile to Israel without governmental position, and he is suspected of aiding Hizbullah last summer. Perhaps he is more innocent than it appears, but there is no doubt that he would rather Israel didn't exist. Not the type of mentality you want from a member of parliament.

In Addition to the former responder -
Not only does he committing acts of treason but also he repeatedly trying to elevate the flames whenever there is some incident between Arabic-Israelis and Jews, Instead of trying to reconcile.
If you could have heard his radio interviews you wouldn't believe this man is a Parliament member. And I did not even mentioned what he says in Arabic media which is far worse.
I think in every sane country he was already in jail. And I am sure if a Jewish Parliament member in some Arabic country would have done the same he would have been hanged in the capital square.

Well it might be because he is suspected of committing treason.

JERUSALEM (AFP) - Israel suspects Arab former MP Azmi Bishara of treason over accusations he advised Hezbollah and directed its rocket fire during last summer's war in Lebanon, police said on Wednesday.

Bishara, who resigned his seat in parliament while abroad on April 22, is suspected of coming into "direct contact" with Hezbollah during the war and advising them "on how to cause damage in Israel," police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld told AFP.

Bishara is also suspected of advising the Shiite militant group on the impact of the rocket strikes and how Israel was likely to react, Rosenfeld said after a gag order on details of the investigation was completely lifted.

The Israeli tried to use him but it did not work Syria is out of the box. He visited Syria 5 years ago and the Israelis saw that as a good step from the Syrians to allow an Israeli Parliament member to visit Syria. What went wrong after that the Israeli plan for Bshara was useless it did not work.
