Had my brake pads ( front and rear ) replaced last September ..have noticed in the last few weeks that there is a grinding sound coming from the rear of the car when I apply the brakes.I can also hear a click sound from them when I use the brakes car after it has been standing overnight...this stops after a while...I've taken the car back to the garage and they have replaced the rear pads under warranty and they have been ok for a few weeks now the grinding/clicking is back..

Thanks

Were the disks changed too? If your disks are cream crackered then they'll destroy the pads in no time flat.

I noticed you did not say if the brakes were done at the dealership. Some times the pad materal is not the same. Nissan brake engineers spent a lot of time designing the way the brakes work and materials the pads are made of. Proper assembly is key to stop noise. New pad shims in the corect locations.

Brakes don't click- Have your axel boots checked for tears. You may need new CVS axles for a wholesale cost of 70$ per pair, installed @ $100 labor.

Are the caliper mounting bolts tight? Any movement there can cause problems; also check condition of discs.
