The only possible way would _require_ two things: separation of different cultures and elimination of greed and conquering from the human mind. The first can be accomplished, but the second is near-impossible. So the short answer? It'll never happen.
The idea that war is a "bad" thing is purely a modern idea, anyways. Wars of the past were not as we see them today—and I'm not talking about WWI and WWII...think much further back. The way we think about and carry on wars today is absurd, but if we re-created a more healthy society we wouldn't even have to worry about such a silly question.

So many people here who don't understand what Baudrillard meant at all, it's kind of sad, really. There was a conflict, people with guns, planes, bombs, etc. But it wasn't 'war', it was a media spectacle, the image of Saddam Hussein and the Iraqis were blown out of proportion, and the image of victory was magnified as well. A massive coalition victory over a rusted army full of hungry soldiers was turned into some sort of hard-earned victory by media and the politicians. This image being presented happened in the Gulf War and it was pushed over the top in the 2003 Iraq War. Remember 'mission accomplished'?

Well, after we rule out the things with miniscule probability, such as the coming of the Messiah (first or second, according to your belief) Global Warming destroying the planet, or an alien invasion that unites us all....
there's just not much left that's likely.

The absence of evil
But that's not likely to happen. War has existed since the dawn of mankind. There will always be evil doers who need to be confronted.

Unfortunately there will always be War. The only thing we can do to try to deter our enemies from waging war is to make them soooo scared of its consequences that they would never start one.

Negotiation must be adopted in settling disputes rather than wars. Make love and not war.
