when i was in yr 8 my mum told a very embarrest 12 year old daughter that when she was older (15,16) she would be allowed to have guy friends over, and she would quite like it because this way she could have a balance between having boy mates (NOT boyfriends) and going to a girls school.

Now this 12 year old daughter is 16. I still remember the conversation, but we havent talked about it since and there are some guys i still know from intermediate that i want to meet up with again.
Im not mates with any other guys atm. I know its a pathetic question but im really embarrest to bring it up and argh i keep putting it off how do i ask her?

do you think that now ive grown up she might have changed her mind?

Your mother is probably waiting for you to ask. As parents, we do not push our children into growing up. We let them grow at their own pace. Just talk to her about it. She was once your age too!!!

you just need to talk to her about it, you are obviously grown up enough now where she should be ok with you hangin out with guys. im sure if you bring it up to her, then maybe bring a sensible guy over first that you know she will like/respect then you should be ok!

It's possible she has-- do something nice for her then ask. :)
