just about daily things that science taught for years as 'truth' are being debunked, new observations, new information cause scientists to reconsider old beliefs and ideas- scientists change their minds about things they were so sure about before- yet there are many who are still haughty and prideful enough to continue teaching new theories and beliefs about the way things are as truth and fact instead of recognizing that in this vast , infinite universe, that has existed much longer than our minds can visualize that we have barely scratched the surface of knowledge and understanding, we only have a part of the picture and in the scheme of things that part is very small. We can make all the assumptions we want about why and how it all is but that does not make it truth- we can only say for sure what we see and observe in the here and now. It is foolishness to say what we have is proof of this or that, especially when so many new things are discovered and old ideas are thrown out hte window every day.
It sickens me to see an article about a new planet that is believed to be inhabitable and the article is written in such a way to make you beleive that scientists 'know' that it is inhabitable- but then there are still so many questions and so much is not known about it. How long did we 'know' that pluto was a planet? How long did we 'know' that all those mismatched skull bones (more than one set) were proof of missing links and evolution?? Scientists know nothing for sure - they can only speculate, theorize and imagine based on the very little they can actually observe and using the 3 lbs of rotting flesh called a brain that they can not even make full use of- heck there is an example right there. We can hold the human brain in our hands and there are still many many mysteries locked in there - so much that scientist do not understand about the human brain and the way the body works- yes there is a LOT of information and a lot to be observed but still 10 times that much they have not gotten to the bottom of, yetthey will be quick to tell us they know the truth about the origins of the universe and the beginning of mankind- you cannot get much haughtier nd foolish than that.

Science is very logical than religion because a lot of religions is about magics and miracles. Science has a lot of evidence and facts about almost every discoveries on the planet.
For example: On ancient times, some people thought the earth is square or semi-circle due to the myths and religions. But when the satellites existed, it proved to us that the earth is round, and this discovery is accepted by everyone who believes in science.

Science never made claims of power over infinity. They don't claim to know everything but are continually looking for the right answers and unlike religion, will admit to making a mistake.

Science does give us relative power.
Science is a provable method. We can use it to better understand our universe. Why the sun rises, why trees are green etc.
As of now it can't provide answers to everything, but then again neither can religion.

Religion gives people the idea that they are right based on no evidence at all. Sure we may not be able to answer all our questions through science, but at least science doesn't presume to know what it can't answer...unlike religion. Evidence is truth. Science uses evidence. A scientist can be wrong, but science can't. Science is always right because that's the definition of science. Using evidence to determine how things work. If you deny evidence, then you are wrong.

"What I mean is that science can only answer a certain number of things and what is beyond that is left to religion, philosophy, or just speculation."
god is just a speculation

It fascinates me that, when it comes to science, some people demand absolute proof (even though science is simply what we know given what has been discovered, and is not presented as "truth"), but will believe in deities with not a single shred of evidence, never mind proof, absolute or otherwise.

so, again, your point is 'sky daddies are the answer'? How ignorant is that?
And science tells you that we don't know what happened at t=0 of the big bang, or what came before that, and that the before question might not make any sense. It is okay to say 'I don't know'. It is not okay to then assume 'must be god'.

The only truth is your own.You can believe that science has an answer or that it doesn't but might someday or you can believe that God waved his hand and made everything in six days or you could believe that some flying spaghetti monster did it.The point is that everyone has their own truth and so there is truth for everyone.

It is a best guess, based on experimentation. Always subject to revision. When people KILL for GOD it is them and NOT GOD. When people use religion or spirituality or science to harm others it is bad.........
