Teenager growing up in are time is dealing with extreme conflicts between their own personal identy and having a group identy. This interaction causes all kinds of different personality charateristics to come to bear. All this is in attempt for social acknowledgment or at the very least a little credit. How a person chooses to do this is individual and shows the great color scheme of personalities that usually dot most highschools. Yea we could get really persices and figure out what groups they fit in but you can usually see a dividing line between those that want to respect authority and those that don't. This division and even some gray areas inbetween make it difficult to say what would be consider advarage. But with the recent events in schools these past 20 years we can see that it would be abnormal for someone not to choose to react or be apart of the different groups, it part of growing up to go thru different steps in an attempt to define yourself from the outside, in. So its not a simple thing to put a label on. And it would be easier to state what isn't average.....
