I am a prior Air Force enlisted member, and I am now enrolled in AFROTC, does anyone know of a regualtion that says weather or not enlisted ribbons are authorized while in blues. I know that the initial thought would be no, but I cannot find any literature actually saying so.

I did some research.

You can never wear both active duty awards and ROTC awards at the same time.

It seems like it is up to the University you attend, as to whether you can wear your active duty decorations on your ROTC uniform.

I went to different university webpages and some,

Said you could only wear ROTC decorations.

Some gave you the choice to wear either the ROTC decorations or your active duty decorations.

The easist way to find out, is to just ask your ROTC Commander what the policy is.

I suspect you can wear your earned ribbons.

If you went from the Navy to the Army you could wear them!

They also wear them at West Point and the Naval Academy!

You can't, however, wear your ROTC ribbons in the services!

I can't find anything in AR 670-1, but it does say you cannot wear your military rank!

Some members of ROTC are actually in a sevice while at school. I am sure they can wear them then!

Depends on your Det. Most of the time, Det lets you wear those ribbons that you earned while serving active. But again, different Det have different rules so yea, check with your Det and your Det's CO and see what s/he thinks about it.

Good luck

You can not wear real Airforce Ribbons. JROTC ribbons(if given any) are diffrent from real ribbons. Only wear what you have EARNED in JROTC .
