Hey Tiger. Did these people offer any scientific evidence to support their 'opinions'. There is a huge, and rapidly growing, body of scientific evidence that inadequate intakes of omega 3 fatty acids (which is very, very common) contributes to virtually all of the most common, chronic diseases. Cancer. Heart disease. Depression. ADHD. Alzheimer's. Diabetes. And a lot more.

For 'fun' I just checked Medline, using Pubmed, to see how many medical research papers have been published on omega 3's .... 9,380! That is a lot of scientific research.

Best wishes and good luck.

P.S. whenever someone gives you 'their opinion' on a medical issue, ask them for the scientific references (their sources). Comments like "I heard" or "someone says", are a joke.

Sure they are good. I think every person serious about fitness should take a fish oil supplement.

Fish oil caps are far better EFA sources than things like Flax, Borage, and other plant types. The EPA and DHA (what you want) are already in that form with Fish oil whereas with something like Flax it has to be converted and the rate of conversion is woefully low.

Good for all sorts of different aspects of your health.
