Yes, How else are you going to download the music if you dont log into an account?

Sadly, the answer is yes.
You can use a Visa or MasterCard debit card to open the account and they will never bill the card.
You can just buy gift cards for the iTunes Store and pay by preloading your account with the credit from the gift card.
I've never had any issues with anything I've purchased from the iTunes Store this past year.

Yes, I think it is beacuse when you download the music it is saved in your account so you can use the music on other computers by just logging on into your account.

yes becasue when you put credit into your account then they need to know you are using the money and not somebody else.
