My bf. brought me out on the road, were now back together. He hasn;t told me he loves me, sex is good, our relationship is okay. He said he changed, he does for me all the time i dont do without .....is it possible his love is expressed differently than what i want it to be? btw. we've been together for almost 4 years on and off and known each other almost 6....

I think he does care or he wouldn't have said he wants to settle down. What does he say when you say it first? Like I said I think he has been hurt bad by another woman, find out. It may suck to hear about his past relations but it may help to understand him better.
Actions do speak louder than words, if you ask me. Does you B/F always try to do things to make you happy? If he does than he cares about you.

Any relationship that is on and off, you have to wonder if it should be in existance at all. But yeah, it sure is possible that he expresses his love differently from your expectations. So you have to decide if you accept him as he is for who he is and how he expresses his love or move on to someone who can meet your needs.

it's pretty daunting for a guy to realise they are in love, it's sounds as though he loves you but might not be able to tell you. Give him a hint or say something like you don't have to say you feel the same if you don't but i just want you to know this is how i feel and say how you feel.

It is possible that his love is expressed differently than you want. As long as he is not abusive and not cheating, trust his unique brand of love. But don't let him play you out.

has he ever said that he Love's you before and if so then you know that that's not how he expresses him self he may just not be in the same place that you are.

Sounds like you have a "friends with benefits" deal going on.
You may want to re-evaluate this relationship and either scrap it or make him "tie-the-knot"
