okay. So I have a boyfriend he lives in CA and I'll be moving up there in the next month. Recently I ran into an old friend of course it's a guy and we went out to lunch together and the other night I went over to his house and watched a movie. I haven't told my b/f about any of this because I think he'll get mad. Should I feel this way?

If nothing else happened between you two, then it sounds like just two friends hanging out to me. Maybe your guy might be just a little possessive or insecure (it's understandable, to a point, that he might misconstrue the situation), but I wouldn't feel guilty at all about it if it was as innocent as it sounds.

the mere fact that you're asking this is because somewhat you are feeling guilty already. is there something that you did that you should feel guilty about? sometimes, in a relationship, you have to learn to trust your judgement. How will it affect your relationship if you tell him this? you don't have to tell him everything you do, you know the saying "what he doesn't know wont hurt him?" is actually true. I don't want to know all the details my other partner is doing, even if there was no harm meant in doing it, only for my own piece of mind and my own insanity. you don't have to rock the boat all the time especially when the ride is smooth sailing.

do you trust that he will not feel any negative about you when you tell him this? do you trust that he will never lose his trust? if you do something that you see nothing wrong, meaning if you're not stepping on anyone's toes, then you shouldn't feel guilty at all.

No you shouldn't.
You went out with an old friend and had dinner, last time i checked that wasn't illegal anywhere. Tell the dude, if he really loves you then it won't be a big deal to him.

As long as nothing happened between the two of you then there isn't something to feel guilty about.

If he gets made at you spending time with other men and doing nothing wrong then perhaps your uncertain feelings should be over shadowed by your boyfriends insecurities and trust issues.

if you have not been thinking of this guy as a possible partner -- as a friend why feel guilty --- you have not done or thought anything wrong

if you didnt tell your boyfriend about this, then you are already feeling guilty. nothing wrong with hanging out with friends. I would be madder if my girlfriend was hiding it from me... insecure bastard.

if it's only "watched a movie" there's not reason for quilt.
if it's more, then you need to ask yourself why you did it, and ask yourself again if you should or should not tell him.

Don't tell your b/f. Do what you plan and keep it to yourself.
