Guys, why do say things you don;t mean? Don't think half the time? Whats going on inside your head when you get treated good by a good girl? What makes you so afriad of commitment. Isnt that you wont get to sleep with anyone else and brag to your idoit friends. Come on im trying to understand this. What makes you run way from something good and then you realize you want it back and once you got it back you treat it bad again, and say you sorry and this and that. why even bother saying your gonna change when you know all along your never gonna change for anyone.

sometimes we say them to make ourselves look good --- sometimes we mean them yet find we cant deliver --- yes i believe most guys want to keep their options open "just in case" --- the old saying "the grass is greener" applies
when we think we have found someone better we jump there -- then when it flops we looks for someone safe and comfortable so we can still keep looking
we can only change if we WANT to change --- no one can make us change --- we can decide that the lady we are seeing is worth changing for and then change those behaviours that will hurt them --- we may not be successful

I'm trying to understand the context of your situation and what was said. If it was a little lie, well sometimes we just don't think or are uncomfortable with something. Believe it or not, even after years of dating people can not be completely comfortable and honest. I guess we say things we don't mean because we are trying to either A) avoid confrontation, B) make you happy, which ties into part A, or C) are trying to shut you up. It sounds harsh, but it is true.

It's because of the testosterone and the pressure they get from their other male buddies to perform. Sort of like peer pressure. That is why women mature much faster than men. But you always have that small percent that matures and will seriously be committed and treat a woman how she treats him. But it is rare

Bad characteristics in men these days are like drugs, we can't get them out of us. It is so bad that even if we try to change for u, we always tend to slip up. Now remember, nobody on this earth is perfect. Sometimes girls can't control a bad trait that their spouse doesn't like either. So you have to try and understand that, there's just some ppl who just can't change.

Relationships are a fickle thing, they don't always go as you plan them kiddo.

I believe that what makes them do this is that there is a woman who is ALLOWING them to do this.
If you would stand up and tell him 'NO' then he wouldn't be able to keep playing his games with you. YOU have the power here.
