is there a possibility of you meeting anytime?
Long distance relationships can work if you'r faithful and determined to work but how long can you manage to carry on such a relationship for? if you talk online for a few months that would be cool but then after then you'd want to meet, so really if you can't meet anytime in the forseeable future then you should just call it quits now.

it depends how much you are willing to make it work. i am also from the philippines and i do have some friends with the same kind of situation. some were able to work it out and some didn't.

the problem in long distance relationships, especially in your case, is that you don't really know the other person. all your judgement is dependent only on what she is telling you. and in this world and age, there are many out there who takes advantage on this kind of situation. you don't see her everyday, you don't really know what actually happens to her on a daily basis. do you want that kind of relationship? how much are you or is she willing to sacrifice that you go and meet each other and be together to see if what you are feeling is actually true?

it's not that i'm really not into this kind of relationships, but always be careful. step back a little until you get to know her really well. and that won't happen just by chatting or talking on the phone and you're miles and miles apart.

I have a teacher with the exact same predictament. He went to the Phillipane for two weeks but he missed school so got fired... He is a great teacher but a little misguided. Anyway for your problem...that distance is really hard to manage and it is like halfway around the world.

I hate to say this..but alot of asian girls try to get into America by marrying someone body here in the US. That is very common in my culture and other Asian cultures(im Viet). It happened to my teacher. It is a scandal and common prob. She might ask you to come there and next you notice is that you are married...(hypotheical situtation...hope it doesnt happen to you)

Anyways, I suggest you find someone a little closer maybe in your city? Long-distance that far are painful since you cant see her ever pretty much.

Hope I help and Wish you the BEST of luck

Not likely, especially not if you two haven't established a person-to-person emotional connection in reality. It COULD work, but it sounds like you've made a great friend so why put it through the stress of a long distance relationship when the odds are so against you...

I definitely believe they can work it just depends on how much trust you have between the two of you and also how much you are willing to do for the other person. Good luck with it it is a hard thing to do. Its tough but if you really want to be together then it will be just fine.

Sorry. I've been in a LDR even after knowing the guy and living by him for over a year. Our LDR lasted the typical 6mo and then that was it. I wish you luck and I know that anything is really possible, but it's realy tough.

no, you really dont know who you are talking too or what her intentions are while conversing online. Dating with that kind of distance is not a good idea for millions of reasons. You can find love near you, trust me.

I think it's a 100% guarantee that it will not work. But good luck with that!

it can in the short term --- long term one or the other has to move closer --- my lady is on the other side of the world as well --- so she will be moving to me (its what she wants -- she does not want to stay where she is)
