The two wood screws that came with the pot rack installation kit broke. I used 6 drywall screws (same length as wood screws) that are all secured to a ceiling joist. Will these screws hold up?

Ya, I think you should be all right.
The main difference between drywall and wood screws is the head, drywall screws are designed to hold drywall and wood screws are made to countersink the heads into the wood.

You said that the screws are secured to a ceiling joist? Then you should have plenty of strength to hold the pots.

As long as they are in the joist solidly, you should have no problem. I've used drywall screws for many things; they work great.

I wouldn't use those if I was you. Go to the hardware store and get some drywall anchors. They will work a whole lot better and be safer. The last thing you want is the whole thing to fall on your head
