I am Sophomore Class President. I need to generate about $2000 in the next couple months. I have about 30-40 people to work with and like $500 in our account. What are some good fundraisers we could do to generate a lot of money?

I don't think we can sell candy because of the new law against that...

This site has a lot of good fundraising ideas that I haven't seen elsewhere, plus they have a lot of good "how to" advice:

Well i could think of a few,but with only 500$ some of these would be rare. 1.sell hats with school logo on them
2.do a art gallery(get people in your school 2 contribute) 3.have a school fear factor with different challenges ,charge 5$ a player
4.do a bake sale
5.do a match making thing?

Good luck, hope u get something from this!!!

Hi, I'm in high school too, and in my youth group (IORG) I'm in charge of making the budget of $1200. What my group has done in the past, and what I'm doing right now is hold a feed. I'll break it down for you. You plan to serve one item let's say spaghetti with the sides and a desert. You plan out the cost per person, and add a profit to that. i.e. cost= $3.00 sell tickets for $6.00. Pass out 10 tickets to each of your helpers to sell. Rent a space for the feed. A church hall is usually about $100-200. On the same night, hold a silent auction as well, and ask people you know for donations such as a basket filled with fruit etc. If you get enough donations, and sell enough tickets, you get a good profit from this. Hope it helped!

I think u have to survey first in ur locality or in or community of what's the need of the people

Ex.
1. If they love sports, u can organize a sports fest.
2. U can make a raffle ticket & u can solicit to ur friends & collegues for the prizes.

I believe these two ideas that I have given u will be a good source of fund raising. Isn't it?

Good luck!

Try those discount card programs. Where you have several businesses on one card with different deals that go for about 5 bucks I think. Those sell pretty good. Also do car washes, sell baked goodies and recycle.
